Learn to Skate (LTS)

Where are the classes held?

When are the classes?

All classes are held on Sundays.

 

What time do the classes start?

  • LTS – 10am-10:50am
  • LDH – 11am-11:50am

 

What is your severe weather policy / make up classes?

In the case that we have severe weather and choose to cancel the classes for the day, we will post a message on the Demons website http://demonsyouthhockey.org/, send out an email message and notify the rink. If you have any questions, you can always confirm by sending an email to

If possible we will schedule a makeup class at the end of the session or invite your player to join a class during another session. We do not refund cancelled classes.

 

Can I get loaner equipment/skates?

We have a very limited amount of loaner equipment available for those that need assistance. Contact for any questions or advice on equipment.

 

What equipment is required?

Players should wear the following protective equipment:

  • LTS: Hockey helmet with cage; Knee pads; Elbow pads; Skates; Hockey Gloves / Snow Gloves (non-absorbent); hockey pants are recommended, but not required
  • LDH: Full Hockey Equipment Only - Hockey helmet with cage; Knee pads; Elbow pads; Skates; Hockey gloves; Shoulder pads; Hockey pants; Athletic protector; Stick

 

Can I sign up for multiple classes per session?

Yes. Skaters often sign up for a combination of Learn to Skate and Little Demons Hockey! 

 

Can I come on the ice?

Yes. On ice helpers or coaches must possess adequate skating ability for the safety of the players and yourself. We offer two options; On Ice Parent/Helper or Development Assistants. An On Ice Parent/Helper may help their skater one on one during the class. Development Assistants are responsible for running drills and helping a group of skaters. Development Assistants receive free tuition for their help.  Contact for more info.

Can my player try a class for free?

Yes. This is a common question for players looking to start LTS or thinking about making the move to LDH. The best way to determine if you player is ready is to try out the next level.

 

I signed up for LTS/LDH but want to switch program, can I?

Yes. We are flexible in our registration and want to ensure the best possible experience for all players.

 

Can I get a refund for unused classes?

No. If you miss a class, you are welcome to attend another class during a following session. If that is not an option, we may apply a credit to your account for future use.
